poem 1
01:50
|
|||
The unidentified utmost, from words to seed, from lines to pity.
People lie and say they are terrified of the great beyond,
then when they find their hidden shoulder they claim
that they were once you, merged, smoothly, soothingly with your head.
Your eyes will trickle down your lap now, where your red wine is balancing
as its former glory used to do, and your pupils are staring back
seeing their blushed reflection in the scarlet mirror;
terrorizing your numb ankles as they watch the questioned monstrosity.

poem 2
01:14
|
|||
Since I held your tracks in my hands
blood has seemed less dangerous.
I have registered the half metal face you own
in the hotel of your choice.
'Surely.' you said, eyes facing the ground,
'this is as full as life gets.'
You proceeded your sentence
with 'I promise I would deny it if it were not true.'
My right arm reaches out and my fingers laugh
as if the air was confirming a humorous remark.

poem 3
01:46
|
|||
Here is where you shook my hand,
right on the wrist;
the palm of your will was already inside
the shallow cup of your knuckles
yet you grabbed back all resolve half way through.
I saw your heroin was flesh coloured,
grainy feeling, but only on the left side.
While angling your bag over your back
you caught me watching and grimaced
as if the whole world
shook in that little plastic piece of zipped security
and made it a prized possession
you would not surrender.

poem 4
01:25
|
|||
The pursed lips,
that I could not decide
whether they were yours or mine.
Those which took me by the hand
and told me straight off
that afterwards I would be confused.
Those who I almost had a chance with,
if some would call that a chance.
So, I guess they always belonged to you,
and I’m just grasping to return them.

swig back the love and swipe the money down
the tragedy is all gone now
with a simple push down the open hole
even when people shower you with faults
your grace is still there
but sometimes people see right through that.
